FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
09 / FOR MY BENEFITA few
reasonable questions.
I am pleased to provide the clarity you require to reach the correct conclusion.
01Is this a charity?+
No. Charities typically distribute resources among numerous beneficiaries. I consider this an unnecessary complication.
02Where does my money go?+
Toward improving my personal circumstances. I have endeavoured to make this exceptionally clear. Funds are pooled and may cover my personal expenses, payment fees, and operation of this initiative.
03Will I receive anything in return?+
The satisfaction of knowing that my life is marginally better because of you.
No financial return, goods, services, or ownership are promised. The editorial material is freely available.
04Are contributions tax-deductible?+
No. I appreciate your optimism. The office does not issue charitable tax receipts.
05Can I choose how my contribution is spent?+
You may express a preference. I reserve the right to exercise superior judgment. Priorities describe aspirations, not restricted funds or guaranteed purchases.
06What if I cannot afford to contribute?+
Your own needs should take precedence. The initiative is capable of surviving this disappointment. Please do not contribute money you need for essential expenses.
07Why should I contribute?+
An excellent question. One I had hoped you would have resolved before arriving here. Participation is entirely voluntary.
08Is the photography proof of spending?+
Campaign photography establishes the appropriate atmosphere. Only a published expenditure with its corresponding financial record and reviewed documentation constitutes evidence of a purchase.
09Is support automatically recurring?+
No. One-time is the default. Monthly support requires a separate selection and explicit authorization showing the amount and frequency.
10How do I cancel monthly support?+
Use Manage recurring support in your benefactor account to open the payment provider’s hosted portal. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not automatically refund an earlier payment. If the portal is unavailable, use the contact form to prepare a cancellation request.
11Can I remain anonymous?+
Yes. Contributions are private by default. Public recognition requires your affirmative consent, an approved display name, and an actual qualifying contribution. You may withdraw that consent in your account.
12What is the refund policy?+
Contact the office with your payment reference within 14 days to request a refund. Requests are reviewed individually, subject to applicable law and payment-provider rules. No particular outcome is promised. Please never include card details.
13What currency is used?+
All amounts are displayed and recorded in Canadian dollars (CAD). Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion charges.
14Have any contributions been received?+
The public ledger answers that question using actual records. Test transactions are held separately and never appear as real contributions. It is possible for an institution of this importance to begin at zero.
15Will I receive frequent updates?+
Only if you choose to receive them. My circumstances may improve without requiring constant access to your inbox.
16Who decides what is exceptional?+
I do. This has substantially streamlined the governance process.
